Challenge
EQ Bank partnered with nesto to offer current customers access to professional mortgage brokers and the best rates on the market. EQ Bank does not provide mortgage products; however, it is a subsidiary of Equitable Bank, which does offer mortgage products. Buying a home and taking on a mortgage are emotional events—EQ Bank wanted to assure customers it was not swaying them toward Equitable Bank mortgage products, and that it truly had their best interests in mind.
Solution
For EQ Bank’s secure site (accessible to customers only), I wrote the content for the Mortgage Marketplace product page. I wrote a headline conveying the product’s value prop and clear CTAs. I also placed mortgage rates prominently below.
I wrote further introductory copy to speak to and empathize with customers’ pain points when considering buying a home and shopping for a mortgage, keeping it concise and ensuring plenty of breathing room through the use of white space.
I broke the product’s three main benefits down into scannable pieces of information and wrote clear instructional copy to ensure a simple and stress-free application process.
